While you don’t need to render your clip, rendering will make it look its best. When it is done, much of the shakiness will be gone. Instantly, Premiere starts analyzing your footage. Select the clip, then apply Effects > Video Effects > Distortion > Warp Stabilizer. Stabilization can only be applied to timeline clips. The good news is that Premiere provides a variety of options to make your video as smooth as possible. Fortunately, it’s a balance that we can adjust to get the results that best suit the shot.Īs you can probably guess, the “magic” of stabilization is how the software determines the actual subject of the video. The more stabilization, the steadier the shot, but this results in moving the frame more which requires more zooming in. So, the stabilization software allows you to vary the amount of stabilization from smoother to locked down. However, zooming in tends to blur the image because existing pixels get larger. So the final step for the software is to zoom into the frame just enough to hide any black edges. The result is no net movement.īecause the entire frame is moved, black borders appear around the edges as the frame is moved outside the edges of the timeline. For example, if the frame drops by 20 pixels, the software raises the frame by 20 pixels. Once the unwanted subject movement is determined, the software moves the entire frame in the opposite direction to the unwanted movement and by the same amount. However, the time needed is dependent upon the speed of your CPU, the duration of the clip, the amount of movement and the frame size of the video. NOTE: Analysis is generally faster than real-time. Which part of that movement is shake and which part is appropriate movement. How the subject moves from one frame to the next.It starts by analyzing the video to determine: If you need to stabilize a section of a clip, cut it first.Īll image stabilization works the same way. NOTE: Stabilization works on whole clips, not ranges. The bad thing is that your audience gets motion sick watching shaky footage.Īdobe Premiere Pro comes to the rescue with a powerful effect to stabilize shaky footage. While slightly more convoluted than the Warp Stabilizer tool, Mocha AE is an excellent tool and there are some excellent tutorials available through the After Effects help section. Mocha AE can also be used to stabilize footage, by copying the data back as transform data, rather than the more normal corner pin method, which you'd use if you were tracking elements within a shot. Mocha differs from the other trackers available from After Effects in that is a Planar tracker, which means it's much better for tracking shapes - for example, if you're doing screen replacements. Mocha AE is available from the After Effects menu: just choose Animation>Track in Mocha AE. While there is a range of excellent tracking tools within After Effects itself, you get another piece of tracking software with Adobe Creative Cloud. Mocha AE is the secret weapon hidden with After Effects, it can be used for a range of 2D tracking work and stabilization work, and is often quicker and more accurate than the built in 2D tracking options If this does not work you can adjust the way that the Stabilizer works, by choosing a range of options from Warp Stabilizer through to Position Only. To mitigate this, whether you're using After Effects or Premiere there is a range of options to help you get the result you want.įirst of all, you can tell After Effects not to crop your image. While the Warp Stabilizer tools usually do a pretty good job, especially over shorter clips, one of the drawbacks of the stabilizing tools if they're run automatically is that they can crop into your footage quite drastically. I usually start with the Warp Stabilizer. The quickest way to access the tracking tools is to go to Window>Workspace>Motion Tracking, where the tracking palette will appear. Of course magic tricks do not always work the way you want, and so After Effects has a range of options to help. Use the Motion Layout to access the tracking tools quickly, you can use the other options in the warp stabilizer to help refine your result

If it’s too hot, you may risk splitting the mixture and the chocolate will go grainy. Melt the chocolate, condensed milk and butter in a large saucepan over a low heat. I used chocolate flavoured with orange oil, however you can use any flavoured chocolate you’d like. For this fudge you can use dark/milk chocolate or a mix of both.Chocolate chips have stabilisers added so they hold their shape and don’t melt completely, therefore if you use chocolate chips your fudge will not be as smooth as it should be. Use real chocolate not chocolate chips. It’s a great recipe to make ahead of time ready for Christmas or any other special occasion! See the recipe notes below for tips on freezing. Place the chocolate, condensed milk and butter in a large non-stick saucepan.Line a 20cm / 8-inch square tin with parchment paper or cling film. This fudge needs at least a few hours in the fridge to set – it will still be a little squidgy, so I would definitely recommend leaving it overnight to ensure it’s really nicely set and will cut easily, but of course, that’s only if you can resist trying a piece beforehand!Ĥ00g (14 ounces) dark or milk chocolate, broken or chopped into small pieces – you can use a mix of the twoģ97g (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milkġ00g (2/3 cup) icing/confectioners’ sugar Method: The hardest part, as with most no-bake recipes is the time waiting for the end result to be revealed. In a large non-stick saucepan, gently heat chopped chocolate, a can of sweetened condensed milk and a little bit of butter until it’s melted and smooth, then stir through sifted icing sugar. Not all food needs to be overly complicated to prepare and this recipe proves how easy fudge can be to make. This isn’t actually how traditional fudge is made as you won’t need any specialist equipment like a sugar thermometer and you don’t need to test for soft or hard ball stage. I also changed the originial recipe by adding some icing sugar to the mix, as the previous time I had made it the texture was silky smooth, but wouldn’t cut into perfect, neat pieces like I wanted it to. The first time I made this fudge it was divine, however the following time I made it, I used half dark chocolate and half milk chocolate and the flavour was spot on. I’ve been working on this fudge recipe for sometime trying to get it perfected ready to share with you. Guests can help themselves or even take a few pieces home and share if they want to! This fudge would make a brilliant gift wrapped up in cellophane bags and tied with cute ribbon, but it would also be fantastic to make and serve on a platter at parties. This can be a bit tricky as you will just push the dumpster forward if you don't approach it form the right angle. First, you insert the fork into the slots on the dumpster by pulling the truck forward. There's nothing inside, but that's how it's supposed to be. What's the point of having a driver inside the cabin if there's no steering wheel? Unfortunately, there's no interior to speak of aside from two chairs. The windshield can swing up in order to seat a driver inside which is pretty neat. If you want, you can put them into the dumpster to substitute garbage. There are several small spare parts in this set, including cheese slopes, studs, and technic pins. If you look at it from the top, you can see that it is over 14 studs wide! This is likely the widest minifig-scale vehicle to date! This is due to functionality, which we'll get to soon. It's a bit plain in the back, although there is still a decent amount of detail. The red and white stripes could have easily been stickers, but they decided to use tiles instead which is great. It's very long, too, as you can see in this side view. I really like the license plate and the use of textured bricks. It looks very nice and imposing from the front. I don't have a reference pic from the movie (that particular scene was very dark anyway), but the movie version was heavily based on real American garbage trucks, so if you compare the set with the image below, you'll see it's pretty authentic. The last bag is all about constructing the garbage compartment and forks. It has wheels at the bottom so you can roll it around. It's not very accurate either as I recall the one in the movie to have been green and having a lid. It's a quick and slightly repetitive build. This is the only set in which Jessie has a back print! Even Buzz has dirt patterns on the back of his jetpack! So much detail on these figs! Both have a worried expression on their face and dirt all over their body which is very fitting for this scene. Next up we have our hero couple, Buzz and Jessie. Unlike Lotso, he doesn't have back printing, but that's OK since his wings cover most of his back anyway. There is a gap between his wings and his torso so that he can be seated in the driver's chair of the truck. Also, he unfortunately doesn't come with his "signature magical battle staff". Lotso is the same as in the Trash Compactor escape set and therefore not too impressive, but Twitch is a great fig, even though his chest seems a bit small compared to his movie counterpart. Twitch's antennas fit into other headgear as well.Ĭlone: "Do these antennas make me look fat?" Twitch's antennas are rubbery and separate from his head which is hard ABS. While Buzz's legs have a new dirt pattern, his torso is the same, as are his wings and helmet. Buzz and Twitch's torso and legs came out of Bag 1 and are made of good quality plastic. The most notable parts in this set are the dark green plates, panels, and slopes, the trans-black 3x10x3 windscreen, 1x3 tiles in white and dark bley, a black, printed 2x4 tile, and the old technic skis in black. Sometimes it was hard differentiating the black from the dark bley, but since most of the pieces were represented in only one color, that was OK, and the rest was pretty clear. Inside the box you'll find two instruction booklets, three numbered parts bags, and a string of what Svelte calls "China Baggies" with the parts for Lotso, Jessie, Twitch's head, and Buzz's head and jetpack. On the back, there's another, larger minifig line-up with names, and three images showcasing the play features of the truck. The top shows a 1:1 scale line-up of all the figs in this set while the left side features the Limited Edition tag in two other languages. Unlike any other Toy Story box, however, it has highlighted image of the Twitch minifig which is exclusive to this set in the lower right corner, along with a "limited edition" tag. The box has the usual white Toy Story 3 design, with an image of Sunnyside Daycare in the background, and the two heroes in this set (Jessie & Buzz) in the lower left corner. Jessie and Buzz are trapped in a big garbage truck and on their way to the dump! Can they escape the clutches of Lotso and Twitch before they suffer a smelly fate? And boy, are they dirty! However, neither their smell nor their looks shall keep me from reviewing this Toys'R'Us exclusive! To the junkyard, and beyond! So what I'm getting to is considering the numbers built a year of anything using a cast receiver, the fact that containers of NEW receivers were kept under wraps until needed, (first in, first out) the basic principles of purchasing (have what you need with some safety reserve) with more coming, These serial numbers were stamped DURING production as I have seen and not before. They still needed to make or purchase all the other receivers for the very popular 94s and other firearms. Weather they did or bought them outside they would not make of order 11,000 at a time. Back then before the bean counters took over it is possible that Winchester made the receiver castings in house. Between 19 342,000 were produced or around 11,000 a year. The model 61 was introduced in 1932 to replace the exposed hammer designs of the models 1890, 1906 and 62. We could call and place a "hold" on a shippment if demand slowed. Like any manufacture we would have an automatic shipping date set up with the supplier for automatic replacement of the rough casting so we never ran out. We always kept around two 4X4X4 wooden boxes of the rough receivers. At that time we were purchasing the receiver castings for the Model 94 from outside vendors. I was in "Steel Stores" where we stocked over 3,000,000 pounds of steel in various forms. We were making the AR style rifles for the Military along with all the sporting rifles and shotguns as well as tons of ammunition. I worked in the New Haven, Ct Winchester plant on Winchester Ave. I would have guessed 1933 as being the most likely year of manufacture for that model '61. So, why as late as 1934 as the Bluebook and other sources state? Educated guess, or do they have shipping dates from the warehouse or some such they go by? On the other hand, why is it not possible that gun could have been assembled the following month after the receiver was manufactured.December of 1932.not likely necessarily, but possible? I guess my thinking has been that on the average, it would be used within a few months rather than a couple of years.again, on the average. He goes on to explain that one would expect the receiver to be used to make the gun before too long, but also states that in some rare cases, the receiver could sit in the parts bin for conceivably a year or so before being used. I tend to like what Schwing does as he explains that he is not giving the date of manufacture of the gun but rather the date of manufacture of the receiver of the gun. I guess my question really is "Why do you trust one source over another?" As indicated, some sources just state the date and don't explain why that date is chosen. Thanks for the input guys, and a big :bthumb: GunguyDan for doing your part to save our country. So, what would you say if someone asked when the gun was made? Possibly as early as 1932, but more likely 1933, or would you go with the Bluebook date of 1934?Īs you can see, this question is important to world peace and the stability of the economy, so if you know the answers to these questions, please reply promptly. I see where Schwing gets his data, but what does the Bluebook use? On the other hand, the Blue Book shows date of manufacture as being 1934. I suppose that means the gun could have been made in 1933 or even 1934 if the receiver sat in the bin a long time before being picked up for assembly. If I interpret correctly, Ed Schwing's book on slide action Winchesters puts the receiver as being manufactured in approximately early November of 1932. I was just curious.what source do you fellows use to determine the date of manufacture of your Winchester? I have noticed that there are sometimes differences of opinion depending on whose data you are looking at.įor example.let's take a Winchester model 61 with serial number 6800. |
